If you are planning a trip to Bermuda you are doing the right thing! In 90 minutes, your flight will get you here and you can normally count on the weather to not be too hot (highest is 85) or too cold (lowest is 65). Yes, it is paradise! We have so many things to do and our family never gets bored living here with the museums, Art Galleries, caves, Aquarium, great nature walks at Parks and the Railway trails, boating, beaches galore, afternoon tea, amazing restaurants and chefs from around the world and the list goes on. You can travel on our buses, but book a Twizzy for a couple of days because everyone has a smile on their face when they drive them! We would suggest a moped for a day to drive along South Shore road, stopping at all the little beaches and coves with a swim at every one!
What our house guests love the most is being on our boat! Any boat charter you choose should be fine because being close to the turquoise water, while under sail or motor is a dream come true. Add a swim, snorkeling and maybe a little liquor and you have a perfect BERMUDIFUL day! If you are here the end of January, February, March, you can go out to watch Hump Back Whales feeding and playing. It is just magical.
While you are in town, come get an ice cream cone for lunch if it is really hot that day, many people do that! While you are eating it, have a look at some of our older buildings like the Cabinet Building and with the Parliament building, you can go inside on a Friday to see how the British/ Bermudian Ministers argue. Then head to the City Hall where they have 2 Art Galleries to browse around and after that...it will be time for a British treat, Afternoon Tea! The Hamilton Princess has a very special High Tea but having a drink on their water front with a snack is just as nice. Dockyard Pastry Shop has a lovely Afternoon Tea or just order a pot of tea and pastries at any restaurant.
So enjoy your time here and we thank you for coming to Meltdown, our little Ice Cream Parlour and our beautiful Island!
